Overview : Cultural Heritage Studies program is the legacy of inherited cultural capital of the individual of society that is inherited from the past. Cultural heritage is a concept which offers a link between the past and the future with the application of particular approaches in the present. Due to its inherent values for these groups or societies, cultural heritage is maintained in the present and bequeathed for the benefit of its future generations .
The concept of cultural heritage has evolved as an outcome of rich historical processes. This process of cultural even continues today. The concept of the cultural and natural heritage is based on historically changing value systems. these values are recognized by different groups of people. The ideas developed and accepted by these different group create various categories of cultural and natural heritage and has been integrated along with national and world heritage.

Module 1
- History of Lucknow political overview
- Folklore: unwritten aspect of Lucknow identity. (mythology, ritual tradition and custom)
- Cultural anthropology : different belief system
- Historical research and analysis in local history
Module 2
- Visual arts of Lucknow : film, painting, sculpture and architecture
- Literary arts of Lucknow : Poetry, literary figures
- Performing arts of Lucknow: music, dance and theater
- Handicraft in Lucknow
Module 3
- Cultural history of Lucknow: food, dress and family daily life, manners, customs, women and health
- Critical analysis in range of cultural and heritage context.
- Field trips: archeology and heritage sites
- Project work and Assessment Test
