About
I Dr. Syed Qaim Akbar Rizvi am
working as Assistant Professor in Department of Statistics since Aug. 2013,
with 8 years of teaching and research experience. I am an easy going person
with passion of doing hard work to achieve the aims and objectives of my duty
as a teacher. I always try to learn new things to keep pace with the current scenario.
I am eager to implement what I have learnt in a practical and impactful manner.
I always try to overcome the
shortcomings in my life and learn from the past mistakes so that could never
face a difficult situation again. I have great respect for my parents and
teachers for their continuous support and encouragement to achieve my goals for
a bright career and I am also indebted to them for whatever success I have tasted
in my life. My hobby is playing cricket in past time and reading the news
papers. I am always interested and eager to attend every academic and
extra-curricular events organized by my college.
I passed M.Sc. (Statistics) and Ph.D.
(Statistics) in the years 1992 and 1999 respectively from University of Kanpur
and University of Lucknow. I also work on various computer softwares for my
academic and research activities. I have published 3 Research Papers in Peer
Reviewed/ Referred National & International Journals and authored two Text
Books for under graduate students. Besides this I have attended, actively participated
and presented papers in many National and International Seminars &
Conferences. I also took part and successfully completed 3 Referesher Courses,
1 Orientation Programme and a Workshop organized by different Academic Staff
Colleges.
I
try to impart moral and academic values to my students which I learnt from my
teachers and elders to inspire them to achieve their goals for an extra-ordinary
career and a bright future.
