Preamble

We the alumni of Shia PG College hereby take pledge to carry forward the grand legacy of our alma mater which has been a cradle of knowledge for us.

We refresh our resolve to work towards spreading the message of love, compassion, and universal brotherhood through our words and actions wherever we go.

We strive to transform the society at large by making use of values which have been instilled in us here.

Aims & Objective

The Association shall be a non-government, non-political and non-profit making organization.

The alumni of any institution provide one of the most reliable indicators of its overall worth. Every reputed institute is known by the quality of its illustrious alumni. Therefore, the Alumni Association of Shia PG College is supposed to work as an independent body representative of the grand legacy of this college. It will be working on a pro-bono basis for larger good of the society and will be kept free from political influences of all sorts.

The Association shall promote the best interests of the Institute and its Alumni. Specifically, the objectives of the Association are as follows:

• The prime purpose for forming this alumni association is to serve the interests of the college by using the collective efforts and influences of its illustrious.

It will serve as an important reference point for the college alumni and will try to attain the following goals:

• To promote a spirit of fraternity by fostering stronger relations between the Institute and its Alumni and to keep the Alumni informed about the developments of the Institute through regular communication and interaction.
• To keep the alumni of Shia PG College connected with the college as well as facilitate communication among themselves. In the modern era of Internet when communication is instantaneous through social media, it is best to connect the alumni together through various social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, LinkedIn and twitter etc. The college website will have a separate portal for alumni and will showcase their accomplishments.
• To promote the role of Alumni as goodwill ambassadors and stakeholders by helping in identifying strategic directions for the Institute.
• To engage the Alumni in achieving excellence by way of academic and technical collaborations.
• To assist in securing opportunities for Summer Internship and employment (campus placement and recruitment) of students of the Institute.
• To provide job opportunities to existing students by engaging our illustrious alumni from the industrial sector in arranging campus selection drives.
• To organise lectures, seminars, symposia, workshops, demonstrations, study camps, book banks etc.
• To publish bulletins, newsletter, manuals, journals, reports, books, and periodicals and to develop cases.
• To facilitate and award fellowships, prizes and medals to post-graduate students of the Institute.
• To award certificates and other distinctions to candidates trained by the Alumni through the Association.
• To recognize and acknowledge the distinguished services and achievements of the Alumni.
• To safeguard the interests and promote the welfare of the Alumni as well as that of their family.
• To mobilise resources (financial and/or non-financial) and receive donations (cash and/or kind) for supporting and fulfilling the aims and objectives of the Association.
• To maintain and manage branches of the Association within India and abroad as may be considered desirable by the Association.
• To collaborate with other associations and bodies which are concerned with the promotion of management education and research in the country and abroad.
• To undertake all such activities as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the aims and objectives of the Association.
• To identify the achievers among our alumni and to confer awards and felicitations upon them in the annual meets.
